How To: Create a Beautiful Tablescape with Chapple Chandler

We are so excited to have a guest feature this week on the blog! We chatted with Chapple Chandler to give you a complete guide on creating a tablescape this spring. Chapple is a mother of 2 (almost 3) and she started her blog in 2020 in an effort to help women who are working on their homes, looking for deals on styles, navigating their faith, working on their relationships, or growing in parenting! We love her style! (Go check out her Instagram!)

What are your top 3 tablescape essentials?

My top 3 essentials for a beautiful tablescape are 1) beautiful linens, 2) stylish glassware / dinnerware and 3) centerpieces!

What's your process when creating a tablescape?

I love to come up with new color combinations and find decorative items that inspire me. So for Easter, I found some moss bunnies and a blue gingham tablecloth, and I started to envision how that would work with other things I owned, like my blue ginger jars and white scalloped dinner plates. Then, I bring it all home and put everything together. A lot of times, I work with the same china and silver, but I change up everything else. Last, I add flowers to match the color combination I've chosen! I always grab some fresh flowers from Trader Joe's (such a great resource) to style in my ginger jars, or on plates!

How can you create a beautiful tablescape on a budget?

Use a lot of what you have! Build your collection over time. Shop for a few special things to change it up! You can go to decorative home stores or even thrift or antique shops, and you never know what you might find!

What are your favorite sources of tablescape inspiration?

There are so many accounts I follow on Instagram that provide a wealth of inspiration! Julia Armory is one of my favorites! She has the best tablecloths! I recently found Fenwick and Fields, and I love their scalloped placemats and napkins! For inspo, I love Southern Lady Magazine, James T. Farmer, and blogger Mrs Chintzy Loves Chintz!
